There were so many positives for the Bamboo Shoots coming away from their match with Newquay 4 tonight adding a coveted point to their tally despite the final score giving victory to the home-side.
The first quarter saw goal shooter Bronnie Berryman take our team into an early lead with an awesome long shot - entering the second quarter we were only four goals adrift so we know we can do it!
It was good to watch such a great vibe on court with some excellent passes into the circle, never ending energy from our centre court and impressive rebounds being snatched.
A lot to work on but there was a wonderful self belief forming on court tonight from all our players with their fighting spirit coming to the fore. Well done to our goal defence and captain of the night Bryony Marie a worthy winner of Newquay's player of the match.
A massive thank you to Julie Emery for taking on the role of scorer with such professionalism and to our umpire Annie Etheridge.
And thank you to Newquay for giving us a competitive game in good spirit.
Two weeks of training before the next match away to Falcons 2 at Redruth on October 27.
