Cracking start to the new season in Division 4!

PANDAS V NEWQUAY 3

Well that was a thriller! The scores tell the story and wow did our Pandas fight and give their all leaving nothing behind on court tonight.

First quarter: 11-11; Second quarter: 24-23; Third quarter: 35-35; Final quarter: 51-45 to the Pandas!

What a fantastic match not only for our girls but for everyone who came to watch. It was nip and tuck all the way and a huge tribute to our teamwork and fitness shining through and gaining the just reward of an incredible win.

These girls have worked tirelessly in training under their coach Sarah Medlin and my goodness it showed tonight in their play, commitment and sheer determination to fight for one another and the club.

"I'm so proud of everyone," said Sarah. "Having our hardwork pay off against such a great team is amazing and a massive boost for the Pandas."

Newquay selected our goal shooter, Sophie Tucker as their player of the match- totally outstanding and solid under immense pressure.

Every member of the team played their part but special mention must go to Nina Chun fighting her way back from COVID to make sure she was part of our opening match. Sheer credit to her fitness.

Big thanks to Jackie Walker our umpire and to our timer and scorer Jackie Carr and John and to Newquay for giving us such a competitive match.

And what great support from our fan club - Niki Bellenger cheerleading in her Panda suit! - On behalf of the Pandas I'd like to thank you all as this victory tonight is for all the club each and every member - without the club we wouldn't have a team - we're all in this together #PandaFamily
