Lanivet Pandas pulled off a hard fought 48-27 win against Steelers at Truro.

Spectators were treated to 60 minutes of sheer entertainment tonight as Lanivet Pandas pulled off a hard fought 48-27 win against Steelers at Truro on Tuesday 8th Feb.

It was outstanding teamwork in this fast flowing game leaving spectators at the edge of their seats as the Pandas emerged from the first and second quarters with a four and five goal slim advantage.

But then the girls went into overdrive trebling their strike rate in the third quarter to take a 40-23 lead for an eventual 48-27 victory.

Congratulations go to Sarah Medlin, selected as the opposition player of the match with the Panda equivalent going to Nina Chun.

The work rate from both these players was exceptional and they thoroughly deserve tonight's accolades.

Mention must also go to Tiffany Sweet and her specific coaching session on Monday night with GD Ashley Hogg and GK Megan Hampton - these two brought their training to the court tonight and it paid in dividends.

Thanks again to Jackie Carr and John Carr for their unstinting support and to our fan club who were fantastic up in the stands - Kye James Smith and Mary O'Connell.

And thanks to Steelers for providing such determined and skilled opposition it was a great game.

Also to our umpires Sue Wearne and Clare Spears whose expertise resulted in such a well fought entertaining match.
